  • Students are expected to read & write ひらがな (Hiragana) and カタカナ (Katakana)

For absolute beginners of Japanese, we recommend this course for introduction to Japanese-language.

Level Requirements:

  • Suitable for students who have completed previous level JLPT grammar, vocabulary, and kanji.
  • There is no requirement to provide proof of JLPT completion or passing.

Focus:

  • High-frequency grammar tested on the exam (Students are required to study vocabulary and kanji independently)
  • Learn how to approach reading and listening questions logically
  • Practice identifying key information quickly and accurately
  • Develop test-taking confidence through guided exam practice
  • Through mock exam practice, we will focus on grammar points and provide detailed explanations.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll build confidence and master essential JLPT grammar and learning smart strategies to tackle reading and listening questions with ease. Through guided practice and sample exams, you’ll sharpen your timing, boost accuracy, and gain the skills you need to feel fully prepared on test day.

Test Strategies & Question Analysis

  • Understand common JLPT question patterns
  • Learn techniques to quickly identify the correct answer
  • Improve time management for each section of the test

Grammar

  • High frequency grammar points are selected directly from exam questions
  • Each grammar item is explained in depth
  • Practice focuses on applying grammar accurately in test-style contexts
  • Does not cover every grammar point; students are encouraged to continue independent study

Listening

  • Listening dialogues are carefully reviewed to confirm meaning
  • The instructor explains:
    • Why the correct answer is correct
    • Why the other choices are not correct
  • Helps students develop logical listening skills for the exam

Kanji & Vocabulary

  • Kanji and vocabulary are not taught during class
  • Students are expected to study kanji and vocabulary independently
  • Class time is fully dedicated to strategies, grammar, reading, and listening

Do instructors explain the answers in listening practice?

Yes. Instructors explain why the correct answer is correct and why the other choices are wrong, helping students understand the reasoning behind each question.

Are the classes recorded?

Yes. All live online sessions are recorded for review purposes, allowing students to revisit lessons or catch up on missed classes.

Is the course suitable for overseas students?

Yes. The course is fully online, so students can join from anywhere with a stable internet connection.

Do I need to turn my camera on?

Yes. Students are required to keep cameras on during live sessions to support effective instruction and interaction.

Is there homework?

Yes. Homework is assigned every week.

Are there opportunities to ask questions?

Yes. There are opportunities to ask questions and receive instructor guidance.
