Children’s World

  • 2F front window sill epoxy repairs are scheduled to be complete in summer 2025 depending on the weather and contractor’s availability.
  • Heat pump installation starts on Jul 1st Tue 2025 and plans to continue for a week. The contractors will work from 1PM to 9PM to minimize the impact to Children’s World programs.
  • Roof replacement to begin in August 2025.

5F

  • 3 new HVAC units (for 3F Kinder Room, North classrooms and 4F South classrooms) are delayed. They will be installed on Tuesday, July 8th 2025. There will be a crane truck parking on Jackson Ave. (along the East side of the building) with a City of Vancouver permit. There will be no air conditioning or heat in 3F Kinder Room, 3F & 4F North classrooms, and 4F South classrooms on Monday, July 7th 2025 and Tuesday, July 8th 2025. 
  • 5F is complete and washrooms are functioning again on 5F. Thank you to all the 5F users and families for their flexibility and patience! Please help keep the fresh work safe by not sitting on window sills or setting drinks on them.

 

4F

  • A platform for a future Interpretive Centre exhibit is being constructed in the atrium where the planter box once was. 

2F

1F

  • A new fire-resistant curtain has been installed on the stage. For stage users: please pull the curtain using the pulls on stage right (not by pulling directly on the curtain!). Please avoid touching the curtain as oils from hands can affect fire-resistance over time.
