The Vancouver Japanese Language School & Japanese Hall is the only JLPT test site in British Columbia, and for the July exam, the only test site in the Pacific Northwest.

Every year, with the support of The Japan Foundation, we welcome hundreds of test-takers from Canada and the United States to join us for the JLPT.

日本語能力試験とは?

日本語能力試験は、原則として日本語を母語としない人を対象に、日本語能力を測定し認定するための試験です。試験は日本国内そして世界各地で、１年に２回 (７月・１２月）一斉に実施されます。

日本語能力試験は１９８４年に始まって以来、２０２０年第２回（１２月）試験までに、国内海外で累計１２７２万人が受験しました。現在、世界最大規模の日本語の試験となっています。

 

日本語能力試験のメリット

日本語能力試験の認定にはさまざまなメリットがあります。日本語能力試験は、日本では、出入国管理上の優遇制度や各種国家試験の受験資格認定などで活用されています。海外では、大学での単位・卒業資格認定、企業での採用や昇給・昇進、各種国家資格などに広く活用されています
