「文字」というものはただの記号ではなく、気持ちや感情、景色や情景までも伝えることができるツールであり、また文化そのものも背負っています。日本語は、ひらがな、カタカナ、漢字という三種類の文字があり、その文字をアートとして表現する文化があるくらい美しい言葉があります。書道を通じて、日本の文字や言葉、文化を感じ学んでいきましょう。

The schedule and fees for the 2026–27 school year will be posted later this spring. Calligraphy registration will open to continuing and VJLS students in June 2026, and to new students in July 2026.
