Pro-D Day Camp at the Vancouver Japanese Language School & Japanese Hall

A day of Japanese Culture for children K – Grade 6!

Give your children an engaging and exciting Pro-D Day at VJLS-JH. Campers will engage in a full day of cultural activities – arts & crafts, games, exercise, and even learning and reading Japanese in our library! This is a great opportunity for children to communicate with friends and teachers in Japanese.

While Pro-D Day activities are primarily conducted in Japanese, our bilingual educators are supportive of all levels of Japanese-speaking campers – everyone is welcome!

Daily Schedule

9:30-10:30 Radio exercises, running and games

10:30 Snack time

11:00 Craft activity

12:00 Lunch time

1:00-2:00 Games and exercise at the gym

2:00-4:00 Studying Japanese and reading (Second snack time)

Cancellation of Classes

In the event of a disaster, a pandemic such as COVID-19, or any other circumstances beyond the control of VJLS-JH, classes may be cancelled.

If a cancellation occurs due to such circumstances, we will provide a full refund of the tuition fees.

If the number of registered students for the Pro-D Day Camp does not meet the minimum required enrollment by February 6, VJLS-JH reserves the right to cancel the program.

In such cases, all fees will be fully refunded, and no administrative charges will be applied.

Refunds

For participants registered for the February 13 Pro-D Day Camp:

  • If you wish to cancel on or before February 6, you will receive a full refund of the fees paid.
  • If you cancel between February 7 and February 12, you will receive a 50% refund of the fees paid.
  • If you cancel on the day of the program (February 13), no refund will be issued.
  • Camp days cannot be changed or substituted.

Exceptions may be granted for valid medical reasons including but not limited to:

  • Long-term illnesses;
  • Loss of a loved-one or close relative; or,
  • Emergency Medical procedures and related recoveries.
