Cost: Free (with $100 deposit). The deposit will be reimbursed when a participant attends all 5 classes and complete questionnaire after the 5 weeks.
Travel Japanese is a course for people who will visit Japan soon, and want to learn several short phrases for friendly interaction as well as for getting help. Imagine if you can make a comment such as “It was delicious.” in Japanese to a server at a restaurant! If you have food allergy, you can tell the server you cannot eat certain foods before you place your order.
The focus of this course is speaking, not writing. In the class, you will learn short sentences you can use for exchanging greetings, making friendly comments, or asking for help. The instructor will teach you pronunciation. Socio-cultural aspects will be discussed in the class as well.
