JLPT is a test for non-native speakers of Japanese which evaluates and certifies their Japanese-language proficiency. The test is simultaneously conducted in Japan and various locations overseas twice a year, in July and December.
Since JLPT began in 1984, the cumulative number of examinees in Japan and overseas has reached 12,720,000 until the rest in December 2020. Currently, it is the largest Japanese language test in the world.
The official JLPT website has sample question in a form of a quiz that learners can take to test their knowledge, as well as self assess what level of the JLPT they should study for.
Information for the JLPT exam can be found here.

N1 Nan Nan
“A teacher at VJLS recommended an excellent workbook that helped me prepare for the JLPT. Thanks to that advice, I was able to pass the N1 exam. I truly appreciate the support I received at VJLS.”
N2 Alexandra
“I took the N2 in July but unfortunately did not pass. Since September, I have been studying in VJLS’s Adult Advanced Class, and I believe the lessons I learned there contributed to my success in passing the N2. Thank you very much!”
N4 Tashia
“Since the content I studied in the course appeared on the test—or was very similar to it—I was able to get a good score. Thank you, VJLS!”
