We thank you for your patience and understanding for the delay in sharing with you our registration information and fees for the 2021-2022 School Year.

We have waited until our re-opening plans were finalized as we wished to avoid any confusion about when our classes will be held, where they would be held, and how much they would cost. With these plans now confirmed, we can share with you that registration is now officially open!

*Depending on the number of students registered per class, this schedule may change. We will provide further updates if this occurs.

Please note that for Fundamentals students we will be updating our classes in the following ways:

  • 2020-2021: A1 A2 B C D E (6 classes)
  • 2021-2022: A B C D E F Comprehensive (7 classes)

Students who are in A1 this year will move to Fundamental B next year, and students in Fundamental A2 will move to Fundamental C etc. We hope students will now have a steady progression in their learning as well as having an extra opportunity to learn after completing Fundamental F.

We have updated our fee schedule to reflect the return to longer in-class hours and the opportunity to take extracurriculars again. For the year ahead, we will be charging the following fees:

I have some questions but would like to speak to someone in Japanese. Who should I speak to?

Chiaki, our Administrative Assistant is fluent in Japanese and can respond to email and phone calls between 9am and 1pm every Monday to Friday. If you would like to call after 1pm, please leave a message and someone will follow up with you shortly.

I have filled out the registration form. How can I confirm that it has been received?

When you complete your registration, you should receive an email with all of the information that you put into the form. This is your confirmation that your form has been received by VJLS. We will be following up with students and parents in mid-to-late July for payment information and to confirm the class that you’ve registered in. At this time there is no need to follow-up if you have already submitted your registration.

Who will be processing our payments? Who do I send updated payment information to?

Our Senior Accountant will be reaching out to students and parents in July to confirm the fees that will be charged for the next school year and to collect credit card information if we do not have it on file. If you need to update your credit card information, please call our office at 604-254-2551 or send an email to accounting@vjls-jh.com.

When can I purchase a membership?

We will have an update for members in the near future informing them of when they can purchase a membership. There will be no changes to the cost of a membership.
