We are currently looking for a team of volunteers to assist with our annual 2016 Spring Food Bazaar.

Kitchen Preparations

Along with the Kitchen Mamaz (volunteer parents), volunteers will assist with preparing ingredients for various dishes, sorting and organizing foods, and other food preparation tasks. No food safe required.

Free lunch is included for all shifts

Volunteer position needed: 5

Fri, March 4th:

  • Morning shifts: 9:30am – 12:00pm
  • Afternoon shifts: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
  • All day 9:30am – 3:00pm

Donation Item & Silent Auction

We are looking for someone who can dedicate a few hours a week to assist with soliciting donation and sponsorship items for the silent auction and raffle baskets. The position will focus on making connections with a variety of local businesses and organizations through face-to-face, phone and email communications, as well as organizing and displaying received donations and creating raffle baskets for the event.

Volunteer position needed: 1

  • Month of February (2 hrs/ week): Assisting with donation and sponsorship solicitations
  • Sat, March 5th (2-3 hrs): To organize donation and raffle items
  • Sun, March 6th (9am – 12pm): Final preparations and display of items

Bazaar Event Day Assistance:

It is all hands on deck on the day-of, so we are looking for anyone who can assist with setting up table, chairs and food booths, a floor manager to help with making sure the vendors and keep communications with the kitchen, and food runners to assist with serving the seniors’ tables, and of course, event clean-up and take down.

Free lunch is included for all shifts

Volunteers needed: 8

Sat, March 5th (10:00am – 12:00pm): Hall set-up (heavy lifting, standing on ladders)

Sun, March 6th

  • Floor Manager (All-day, or in shifts): Keeping communications with the kitchen, food vendors, and other volunteer staff
    Volunteer needed: 1-2
  • Food runners & bussers for seniors’ table (11am – 3:00pm)
    Volunteer needed: 12 (10 runners, 2 bussers)
  • Event take-down and clean-up (3:00pm – 5:00 pm)
    Volunteer needed: 5-10
